Amously Unveils the Amfibian Platform for the First Time at SK hynix ‘2025 HiGarage Startup Fair’

| First unveiling of an AI solution for semiconductor manufacturing innovation

Amously participated in the ‘2025 HiGarage Startup Fair’, held for two days starting on the 22nd at SK hynix’s Icheon headquarters, where it unveiled its AI platform for CMP processes, ‘Amfibian (Amfibian)’, for the first time.

HiGarage is an in-house venture incubation program operated by SK hynix since 2018. Amously was selected as part of the 6th cohort in 2024 and has been developing an AI platform that enables real-time control and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing processes.

A total of 20 companies founded through HiGarage participated in this fair, and Amously operated its own booth to introduce the core technologies and vision of the Amfibian platform to SK hynix employees and external investors.

Adding intelligence to existing equipment without additional hardware replacement

Amfibian is an AI platform that enables real-time process control and optimization by leveraging semiconductor manufacturing process data.
Its most notable feature is that it can add intelligence to existing manufacturing equipment through software alone, without requiring any additional hardware replacement.

Seungchoun Choi, CEO of Amously, stated, “By unveiling Amfibian for CMP processes for the first time at this fair, we were able to directly hear feedback from actual users,” adding, “We will continue to evolve Amfibian into a solution that is even more specialized for real-world manufacturing environments by reflecting voices from the field.”

The only in-house startup program in the semiconductor field

CEO Choi explained the significance of HiGarage, saying, “It is the only program in the semiconductor field that allows in-house startups,” and added, “It enables ideas discovered during actual work to be developed into businesses, and the system that allows employees to return even in the case of failure made bold challenges possible.”

He also emphasized the value of the program, noting, “HiGarage contributes to enhancing the overall competitiveness of Korea’s manufacturing industry by supporting not only semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment, but also AI solution startups.”

A challenge toward a new world, and continued growth

CEO Choi cited “meeting many new people” as the most memorable part of the startup journey. “Through investment fundraising, recruitment, business execution, and government projects, I met many people across the industry. At first, it was intimidating, but through the process, I gained essential management insights and gradually found it enjoyable,” he said, adding, “Thanks to HiGarage, I was able to discover a new side of myself and grow my dreams, which has been extremely fulfilling.”

Building the semiconductor ecosystem together

The event was attended by SK hynix CEO Noh-Jung Kwak and other key executives, as well as external investment institutions such as the Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation and L&S Capital, demonstrating strong interest in HiGarage companies.

CEO Kwak stated, “HiGarage will contribute to the development of the domestic semiconductor ecosystem through various support systems that provide real help to businesses,” adding, “We will continue to promote these activities so that they can play an important role in localization of materials, parts, and equipment and in securing a stable supply chain.”

Based on the on-site feedback gathered through this fair, Amously will continue to advance the Amfibian platform and grow as an AI solution company leading the automation and efficiency of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
